Choosing the right enema liquid
Water is the classic. An overview of the liquids that are used – and why you should seek medical advice beforehand.

Enemas have a long tradition, and over time different liquids have been used. Here is a brief overview.
Water – the classic
For most applications, plain water is used, ideally boiled or distilled water at around body temperature. Some prefer it slightly cooler, others slightly warmer – either way, it should feel comfortable.
Which liquid, amount and temperature is right for you depends on your personal situation. Please talk to your doctor before using other liquids.
